The Ojibwa, Odawa and Potawatomi

The historical information that makes up the "Did You Know" have been derived from oral history, government archives, letterbooks, historical documents, and diaries, researched by myself and Author Larry C. Leblanc. Larry has been involved in Native Education for the past thirty-five years. He has worked as a teacher, counselor, principal, superintendent and as a multi-sport coach. His interest in Anishinabe history and culture was sparked by his time spent among the Lakota (Sioux) and Cheyenne of South Dakota, as well as the Three Fires People of Ontario. Larry is the author of The Power of Alliance a history of the Three Fires Confederacy. Published by Ningwakwe Learning Press.

Larry's latest book, A COMPENDIUM OF THE ANISHINABEK, An overview of the historical Anishinabek with special reference to the peoples of the Three Fires. Published by Kenjgewin Teg Educational Institute
