Wikwemikong is located on Manitoulin Island, the largest freshwater island in the world and is approximately 6 hours from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Take the Trans Canada Highway 400 from Toronto and go North, turn off on to Highway 69 and go South. When you reach Sudbury, Ontario, take the Trans Canada Highway 17 west towards Espanola, Ontario. Go South on Highway 6 entering Manitoulin Island over the swing bridge at Little Current, Ontario. Continue south on Highway 6 until you reach Manitowaning, Ontario, from Highway 6 in Manitowaning turn East onto Merridth Street. Continue driving on Merridth Street until you reach Campbell Street. Turn East on Campbell Street. Campbell Street turns into Wikwemikong Way. Continue driving on Wikwemikong way until you reach Wikwemikong. Approximate driving time from Manitowaning, Ontario is 20 minutes.

From Saulte Ste Marie, Ontario Canada

Take the Trans Canada Highway 17 East until you reach the Espanola, Ontario turnoff. Approximate driving time is 5 hours. Go South on Highway 6 entering Manitoulin Island over the swing bridge at Little Current, Ontario. Continue south on Highway 6 until you reach Manitowaning, Ontario, from Highway 6 in Manitowaning turn East onto Merridth Street. Continue driving on Merridth Street until you reach Campbell Street. Turn East on Campbell Street. Campbell Street turns into Wikwemikong Way. Continue driving on Wikwemikong way until you reach Wikwemikong. Approximate driving time from Manitowaning, Ontario is 20 minutes.

From Toronto, Ontario, via Tobermory, Ontario, ferry crossing.

Take the Trans Canada Highway 401 west to the Trans Canada Highway 410 north. From Highway 410 north take Highway 10 and go north until you reach Owen Sound. At Owen Sound take Highway 6 north to Tobermory, Ontario. Once you reach Tobermory, take the Chi-Cheemaun Ferry which crosses over between Lake Huron and Georgian Bay to South Baymouth on Manitoulin Island. Length of crossing is approximately 1.5 hours, enough time to sit back, relax, enjoy the view, or enjoy dinner in their restaurant. When the Chi-Cheemaun docks at South Baymouth, go north on Highway 6 until you reach Manitowaning, Ontario, from Highway 6 in Manitowaning turn East onto Merridth Street. Continue driving on Merridth Street until you reach Campbell Street. Turn East on Campbell Street. Campbell Street turns into Wikwemikong Way. Continue driving on Wikwemikong way until you reach Wikwemikong. Approximate driving time from Manitowaning, Ontario is 20 minutes. The Chi-Cheemaun Ferry services runs from May to October every year. Chi-Cheemaun in the Odawa language means "Big Canoe".
