Located within the Wikwemikong Unceded Indian Reserve Band Office. A Pilot Project to give an opportunity to the First Nation and Band Membership to become more intricately involved in the administration of their Family affairs upon the decease of a loved one. The program is in partnership with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada and in accordance with the appointment made by the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada. Staffed by Eugene Manitowabi the First Nation Estates Trustee and Assistant Carol G. Peltier, First Nation members can access information relating to the drafting of Wills and management of Estate issues. The FNET program works with the Band Lands program in the resolving of issues that may affect the estate and as well works with the Membership program to determine lawful heirs and beneficiaries.
